Match-up at MetLife Stadium Marks Notre Dame’s Only Northeast Appearance

East Rutherford, N.J. – September 19, 2016 - The 2016 New York’s College Classic between Syracuse and Notre Dame at MetLife Stadium will kick off at noon on Saturday, Oct. 1, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced today. The match-up marks Notre Dame’s only northeast appearance in 2016.
Tickets start at $50 and are available online at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, and at Ticketmaster Retail Outlets. VIP Packages (Pregame party plus postgame field access package and Field Access only package) are still available.

The 2016 game marks the fourth appearance for the Orange at MetLife Stadium since the agreement with Syracuse University was set in 2009. Syracuse’s most recent history at MetLife Stadium includes games against USC (2012), Penn State (2013), and Notre Dame (2014 and 2016).
Notre Dame will make its third appearance at MetLife Stadium. The Fighting Irish faced Navy in MetLife Stadium’s inaugural season in 2010.
Notre Dame leads the all-times series between the two schools by a narrow 4-3 margin. In the most recent pairing, the Irish topped the Orange at MetLife Stadium in 2014 by the score of 31-15.
