Fans have until March 4 to buy Venue Passes for a chance
to enter lottery to purchase tickets to the Final at MetLife Stadium
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (Feb. 29, 2016) The Copa America Centenario Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in Chicago announced today the start times to all 2016 Copa America Centenario matches, including the three matches to be played at MetLife Stadium.
The first match at MetLife Stadium, a Sunday, June 12, Group B showdown between Ecuador and Haiti, will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET. The Friday, June 17, Quarterfinal match and the Sunday, June 26, Copa Centenario Final will both begin at 8 p.m. ET. The complete tournament schedule is available here.
Potential teams that will appear in the Quarterfinal match on June 17: The winner of Group B, which includes Brazil, Ecuador, Haiti and Peru, will play the second-place finisher in Group A, which includes the USA, Colombia, Costa Rica and Paraguay.
Tickets to the Ecuador vs. Haiti match and the June 17 Quarterfinal are only available via the two-game NY/NJ Venue Pass. Tickets to the Final will be sold separately. Fans have until Friday, March 4 at 11:59 p.m. ET to purchase a Venue Pass and be eligible for the lottery to buy tickets to the Copa America Centenario Final.
NY/NJ Venue Passes can be purchased online at ca2016.com or by phone by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. Fans should note that tickets for the Copa America Centenario tournament are only available through these outlets and not through the MetLife Stadium Box Office.
Early response from fans has been strong and demand is surging now that both local and traveling fans know where to see their favorite teams. The Copa America Centenario Local Organizing Committee is encouraging fans to purchase Venue Passes early to ensure access to tickets. If any tickets remain, individual tickets would be made available at a later date.
