Fan experience at the forefront of new design
JANUARY 31, 2014 – East Rutherford, NJ – MetLife Stadium, home to the New York Football Giants, New York Jets, and host of this year’s Super Bowl, recently launched a cutting-edge, responsively designed website, developed by Americaneagle.com.
Opened in 2010, the stadium’s technological advancements are in a league of its own. Serving two teams, as well as the biggest acts in music and elite private events, MetLife Stadium is built to deliver a radically unique experience to each audience. With a large focus on the personalized, high tech in-stadium experience, MetLife Stadium recognized the need to offer the same cutting-edge fan experience through their website.
Just as the stadium can transform itself for the day’s events, the new site is built using a responsive design, seamlessly delivering the same site to all users, automatically resized to their desktop, tablet, notebook, or mobile device. Beyond device size, the homepage also allows users to quickly filter tiles to gather the information they seek, whether it’s the latest concert, a Jets or Giants game, aggregated social media updates, videos, or event details.
“Understanding how our fans interact with the Stadium, we tasked Americaneagle.com with building a responsively designed website to provide guests with a clean and simple navigation, as well as the ability to quickly and easily find and share information,” said Brad Mayne, MetLife Stadium President and CEO. “The new site allows us ample flexibility as we continue to anticipate the needs of our fans in the future.”
The improved user interface aims to be the pulse of the stadium: a one-stop for any fan looking to keep up with their favorite team, find tickets, and more.
Mike Svanascini, President of Americaneagle.com, said, “We were honored to be chosen to build a complete online presence for MetLife Stadium, and building a dynamic website to appeal to MetLife Stadium’s diverse fan base was a challenge that we were happy to tackle. The new MetLife Stadium website sets a new, high standard for venues worldwide.”
