On May 25th, 2010, the NFL and its 32 member clubs announced New York/New Jersey as the host region for the first ever cold-weather, outdoor Super Bowl. By playing Super Bowl XLVIII in MetLife Stadium, the NFL will be bringing the world's biggest game to the world's biggest stage, transforming both in the process and leaving a lasting imprint on the area.
