2012 Konica Minolta Big City Classic Returns to MetLife Stadium with the following lineup:

• Game No. 2 – #8 Duke vs #14 Syracuse (4:00 pm)

Tickets for the 2012 edition of the Konica Minolta Big City Classic will go on sale Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:00 am EST.  All seating locations at MetLife Stadium will be reserved for these events. Fans are urged to make their plans early to be part of the action.

#1 USC Trojans take on the Syracuse in a rare meeting of these two great college football teams. This game will kickoff the 14 game series Syracuse University will play at MetLife Stadium through 2038.

It has been a decade since a number one ranked team has played in New Jersey (#1 Miami vs. Rutgers in 2002) and is USC’s first return to the Meadowlands since 2000 when the Trojans defeated Penn State 29-5 in the Kickoff Classic.

Penn State and Syracuse open their 2013 football season at  MetLife Stadium on Saturday, August 31 (game time is TBD). 

Penn State returns 16 starters and 38 letterwinners for the 2013 season. In his first season as head coach, Bill O’Brien led Penn State to wins in eight of its final 10 games, beating eventual Big Ten champion Wisconsin on Senior Day to finish 8-4 overall and 6-2 in the Big Ten.

Syracuse will ride the momentum of two bowl victories in the last three years and the 2012 BIG EAST co-Championship into the Atlantic Coast Conference. First-year head coach Scott Shafer welcomes back 12 starters, including five on offense and seven on defense, from the 2012 ECAC FBS Team of the Year.
