Konica Minolta Big City Classic Lacrosse

MetLife Stadium | 1:00 PM

2012 Konica Minolta Big City Classic Returns to MetLife Stadium with the following lineup:

  • Game No. 1 – Notre Dame vs St. John’s (1:00 pm)
  • Game No. 2 – Duke vs Syracuse (4:00 pm)
  • Game No. 3 – North Carolina vs Johns Hopkins (6:30 pm)

Tickets for the 2012 edition of the Konica Minolta Big City Classic will go on sale Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:00 am EST.  All seating locations at MetLife Stadium will be reserved for these events. Fans are urged to make their plans early to be part of the action.

Mexico Vs. Wales

MetLife Stadium | 3:00 PM

The Mexican National Team will head to the New York region for their third stop of the 2012 U.S. Tour, the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF), together with Soccer United Marketing (SUM), announced today. Mexico will face Wales in a match presented by Visa on Sunday, May 27 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ at 3:00 p.m. ET. The two national teams are expected to field their top squads as the matches will be played during FIFA dates.

This year marks the beginning of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying matches for Mexico, as “El Tri” looks to secure a spot in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Under the direction of Jose Manuel de la Torre, Mexico will use the tour match as preparation for its qualifiers on June 8 against Guyana and June 12 against El Salvador.

Brazil v. Argentina

MetLife Stadium will host one of the world’s most famous international soccer rivalries, Brazil vs. Argentina on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 3 PM EST.

Commonly known as the “Battle of the South Americans,” the Brazil vs. Argentina rivalry dates back to 1914 and spans 92 matches over 97 years. Heading into the June 9 match at MetLife Stadium, the all-time record will stand at 34 wins apiece with 24 draws.  Argentina features the world’s best player in current FIFA Player of the Year, Lionel Messi while Brazil features one of the brightest young stars in the world game, Neymar.
