#8 Notre Dame football team will face off against Syracuse University at 8 p.m. EDT on Sept. 27, 2014, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
ABC Sports will televise the game nationally, as announced September 15, 2014 by the Atlantic Coast Conference.
This will mark Notre Dame’s third consecutive night game in 2014 — following a Sept. 6 home night game against Michigan and its Sept. 13 prime-time contest against Purdue in Indianapolis, Ind.
Notre Dame and Syracuse will be meeting for the seventh time overall and the first time since a 2008 game at Notre Dame Stadium, where the Orange stunned Notre Dame 24-23 to even the series at 3-3.

Syracuse is the 14th-winningest program in college football. Syracuse has 22 bowl game appearances and has earned invitations to all four Bowl Championship Series Bowl games. Syracuse has six representatives in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, one of eight schools with at least six alums enshrined.
