Argentina and Ecuador to Face Off at MetLife Stadium on November 15
NEW YORK, NY (Friday, October 18, 2013) -- Relevent Sports today announced that the Argentine national team will play Ecuador at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on November 15 (8 p.m., ET). Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) is co-producing the November 15 match as well as Argentina vs. Bosnia on November 18 in St. Louis.
The matches are part of the Gillette International Soccer Series which also includes Brazil taking on Honduras, November 16 in Miami.
Tickets for Argentina vs. Ecuador start at $35 and go on sale tomorrow, October 19 at 11:00 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster. Tickets will be available online at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, and at Ticketmaster Retail Outlets. For the two Argentina matches, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) has confirmed that it will be bringing its strongest side including four-time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi.

Argentina recently qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup by finishing first in South American qualifying. The Albiceleste have won the FIFA World Cup twice (1978, 1986) and in addition to Messi feature top players such as Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid) and Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli).
Ecuador recently reached its third World Cup in the last four attempts after finishing fourth in South American qualifying. The team, coached by Colombian Reinaldo Rueda, is led by Antonio Valencia (Manchester United), Jefferson Montero (Morelia) and Felipe Caicedo (Lokomotiv Moscow).
