The concourses at MetLife Stadium will almost double from the old stadium to 40 feet. This increased space allows for easier ingress and egress before and after the game, less crowding during those busy halftime rushes for snacks, and more space to get away from the cold on those snowy January playoff games.

What happened to the old stadium now that the new one is complete?

The old stadium has been demolished. 100,000 tons of concrete, 20,000 tons of steel, and other demolition materials were recycled from the old stadium by filling the 210,000 cubic yard hole associated with the dismantling of the old stadium. Thus, the hole was 100% filled by on-site demolition materials. The area where the old stadium resided is now used for parking.

MetLife Stadium Company is committed to identifying and implementing sustainable development design features and operations plans for the Stadium. In order to achieve this goal, NMS has formed a working relationship with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Highlights of the waste reduction measures taken by the stadium include the installation of recycling bins, concessions materials being made from recycled materials, green cleaning products, and recycling the concessionaire's waste streams. There are a total of five club lounges with over 9,000 club seats in the new stadium, compared to just 142 club seats and 2 club lounges in the old stadium. All club seats have access to unparalleled views, spectacular sounds, premium amenities and the best fan experience anywhere.
